Unit 4. THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Hi guys! It's me, Pikachu. Today we are heading into an adventure in order to see both kinds of landscapes.

To be honest, I prefer natural landscapes because I can play with my friends, eat wild fruits, collect flowers and even swim on rivers. It's exciting!

I'm really interested in your opinions! Let's all write our favourite things to do in both landscapes.

Now that we have finished, I would like to introduce you to my cousins, Plusle and Minum.

Let's start with the activities!

    1. Identify the elements.

Minum: As we are starting this new unit, we are going to do an easy initial activity. 

Plusle: We have to identify which elements are characteristic of each landscape and raise our hands whenever we know one.

Minum: Then the teacher will have to chose a person to say the element they found until we got them all.

Agrarian Landscape - Apples are in danger!

Hi again guys! Today we are going to introduce you to my new friend. She is so clever and she also loves agrarian landscapes because she can eat tons of apples on them.

Be careful or she might steal yours today!

Oh, hi guys I'm Emolga, I know I'm cute but don't fell in love with me, ok?

Let's play a game! I'm going to give you some activities and, if you finish them, you will get to eat some apples of my favourite tree but... while you are doing them, I'm the one who eats them so, be fast enough if you want some of them or I will eat them all!

 1. Find the words.

Let's start! In order to eat these delicious apples you will have to find 8 words related to agrarian landscapes which are: Field, Meadow, Town, Mechanized, Farm, Path, Road and Emigration.

Good luck! This is to hard for you so I will have time to eat them all hahahahaha.

  2. Join the words with the descriptions.

Hey! Not fair! You ended it so quickly that I didn't have enough time to eat them all!

I'm going to speed up and eat them all so you can't have any!

Now you will have to give a definition to the words: Road and Emigration.

Industrial landscape - A weird Squirrel is running away

Oh! Did you finish playing with Emolga already? That was so fast! I thought you would never beat her games, I'm never able to eat any of her apples.

Well, let's go meet another friend of mine. Today I will introduce you to Pachirisu.

Pikachu: Hey! She is running away! Help me catch her!

Pachirisu: Hahahah, if you want to catch me you will have to pass the obstacles I made on the path!

 1. Labyrinth.

Try to find me inside my friend's body!

In order to do it take the right path and define all the words that you find in the main organs, if you do it wrongly, you should not pass untill your learn it's meaning!

Hey guys, today I was shocked. I was walking on the forest and I found my old friend Mareep.

When we were together we used to have so much fun in the farm so, we decided to go and visit the city together because she said she can take me on a tour.

Oh, oh! Our Inkay is so angry, you better win him unless you want us to get your Pikachu.

2. Give solutions.

Now fight my Seviper! I'm sure they will  win you all!

In order to win him you will have to give solutions to the problems we saw in the last activity, write them down and compare them outloud.
