Hi again my dear friends! It is time to learn about the territoral organisation of Spain.

I have seen aaaall that you are going to do and I can assure you that you are going to love it.

1. Municipalities and Local Council

We are going to prepare you for a special task, you are going to make a roleplay of a local council. To do this, first you have to know what a municipality is and its components, as well as who governs it and what these people offer.

1.1. The municipality and its components

Let's start. You have just seen that the municipality is governed by the local council, which is made up of the mayor, the councillors and the government commission. All of them have a function. I have an scheme for you to complete.

All right, the members of the local council have specific functions. Now let's look at the general functions that the city council as a whole has to govern the municipality.

Roleplay of a Local Council:

You are all members of the Municipal Government of the Local Council and the Municipal Area will be your school.  

The group has to be divided into six smaller groups, each group will be in charge of a public service. 

So, for the next day, each group has to choose one member to run for mayor, and this person, with the help of his/her group, has to prepare an electoral program about the things he/she would do in case he/she wins. The electoral program will be read in class, and then we will take a vote to elect our mayor. The mayor will choose one councillor from each group to form the Government Commission.

Each public service should write proposals related to its service to improve the school. The mayor, with the help of the Government Commission, will then choose the most attractive projects that respond the school's needs.

Finally, the chosen projects will be given to the school principal for her consideration.

Hi again kids. Today it is time to play while we practice what we saw the other day.

Remember, you are all members of the Municipal Government of the Local Council and the Municipal Area will be your school.  

In a couple of minutes the mayoral candidates will read their electoral program and then we will take a vote to elect our mayor. Afterwards, this person will choose one councillor from each group to form the Government Commission.

Now that we have a Mayor and a Goverment Comission, it is time to get started on public services proposals to improve the school.

And rememer, the Mayor and the Government Commission will have to choose the most attractive projects that respond to the school's needs.

Spain has a demo... what?

Hello again from the other side of the screen guys, today I'm a bit tired since some minutes ago I had to train with Ash so... I've brought you one of my friends, she is really selfish but loves royalty so, be careful with your words because she is a real princess! Say hi to Espeon.

Oh, hi servants, Pikachu told me I he needed help teaching you about the kings and the queens, let's work with some activities related to spanish royalty. But first, lets go to my castle, I don't want to be seen on the streets.

Activity 1.

Lets take this secret path while I explain you what to do. I like my servants to be clever and complete my phrases while I'm talking, if you are not even able to do that you can leave so, if you are brave enough let's see what you can do.

In Spain we have a really important document called "La _____ española", this one was voted by the spanish people in the year ____, in this one we can see that Spain has a parliamentary _____, this means that Spain has a royalty and a ____ but the laws are done by the _____. Sadly, I can't change the laws but one day I will do it and I will make you all serve me, so far nowadays the _____ is the one who choses the president with the _____. Furthermore the constitution says that all the citiciens are equal to the ____ and also, that we all have the same ____ and ____.

Hi there! Today I'm in the park playing with my friend Smoochum and she told me that she would help me because I'm so nice to her so, let me introduce you to her!
